What the Voxira integration adds to Icinga 2

Voxira turns Icinga 2 host and service notifications into spoken phone calls. A NotificationCommand integration passes the event type, host, service, state and check output to your callflow. Icinga selects the recipients and event filters, so telephone alerts can follow the notification rules your operations team already uses.

Example workflow

Call the duty engineer when an Icinga service enters a critical state, with the host name and check output spoken in the message. Keep less urgent notifications in your existing channels.

From an event to a spoken phone call

The integration sends your message and event data to a Voxira callflow. Its text-to-speech configuration determines how the notification is spoken. Voxira queues the call and executes it asynchronously; a successful queue request does not confirm that the recipient answered. Call status is available in Voxira.

Integration questions

Is this an Icinga Web module?

No. It is an Icinga 2 NotificationCommand integration using a Python script and Icinga DSL configuration. It does not require an Icinga Web module.
