What the Voxira integration adds to curl

Use curl to add automated telephone calls to shell scripts, cron jobs and command-line workflows. An authenticated HTTPS request queues a Voxira callflow with your destination and message parameters. The examples cover immediate and scheduled calls, making this a direct starting point for systems that can run a command.

Example workflow

Add a curl request to a maintenance script to call an operator when a job needs attention. Use a scheduled call when the notification should be delivered at a specified later time.

From an event to a spoken phone call

The integration sends your message and event data to a Voxira callflow. Its text-to-speech configuration determines how the notification is spoken. Voxira queues the call and executes it asynchronously; a successful queue request does not confirm that the recipient answered. Call status is available in Voxira.

Integration questions

Must a shell script wait for the phone call to finish?

No. Voxira saves the call and returns an API response; its dispatcher executes the call asynchronously. Your script can continue after the queue request completes.
